Jive Software’s First Ever ‘Above and Beyond’ Customer
I love this initiative from Jive:
Above and Beyond is intended to provide recognition to a Jive customer who goes above and beyond to help Jive in some way. It is a compliment to the Jive Advocates Program – but a customer does not need to be a Jive Advocate or Champion to receive Above and Beyond recognition. This initiative goes beyond participation in advocate activities such as media interviews or user group presentations.
The first recipient has just been announced:
Customers who earn this recognition are nominated by a Jiver. An Above and Beyond customer is someone who has made a significant impact, helping to either advance our product, services, or fellow customers’ use of Jive in an extraordinary way.

Jive customers are hungry for insights and direction on how to measure, what to measure and why to measure to prove the value of their communities. In the last year we, the Analytics consulting practice, published a number of self-help materials to guide customers in recommended metrics and analysis. But like anything, this work is only made better when we have customers engaged, involved and giving us great feedback.

Huge congratulations to Ted – I completely agree that this accolade is richly deserved. I’ve followed his work and community contributions for a number of years, and he is a tremendous example of ‘working out loud’ for the good of the wider community.
